Growing Home

Depaul USA’s two housing programs move people from the streets to apartments of their own and provide services that keep them housed, healthy, and happy. Our 2023 gala proceeds will also help assist the opening of our third permanent housing program, Journey Home, opening in fall 2023. Journey Home will be able to house 20 additional folks. For over a year, we have also provided weekly wellness classes including music therapy, art, and meditation along with holiday celebrations and field trips. This program has been successful in many ways, especially in minimizing social isolation and building community amongst folks with similar lived experiences.

We are excited to host our gala at our place of work, the Rebuild Center, a day center in the heart of the medical district. It is located in the parking lot of St. Joseph's Church and houses three local organizations: Lantern Light, the Harry Tompson Center, and Depaul USA. Parking is free in the church parking lot and the event will have security.
